Menu Imprinting Guide

Artwork Guidelines:
Please supply camera-ready artwork, i.e., sharp black image on white background with no screens (halftones) - 600 dpi or more is recommended, if this is not available, please supply oversized copy (we will reduce to final size for you). Lower resolutions usually have to be redrawn or used as is which results in poor quality.

If artwork requires minor retouching or typesetting, we will provide this service at no extra charge. Type should be identified by name. When a sample is supplied that cannot be recognized, the nearest match will be provided.

A proof will be sent for logos stamped on custom books. Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for logo proof turnaround.  For orders with complex or poor-quality artwork, as well as all artwork for metal embossing, please allow 3 to 5 business days for proof turnaround.

Electronic Art Guidelines:
MAC or PC: PDF, TIFF, and EPS files are preferred. Other formats may or may not work. Original Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop files are required when modifications to the art are needed. Typefaces used in creating art must be identified and supplied. One-color art should be in black or a PMS spot color. Grayscale or colored art does not reproduce well. Full-color art should not be submitted unless the job is in four-color process. Two- or three-color art should be separated by PMS spot color and a proof of the separation should be supplied.

Typefaces:
The complete Adobe type library is available. Type should be identified by name.

Foil Stamping:
Surface decoration. Camera-ready artwork must be submitted in line art form. If you cannot supply line art, we will convert your artwork. Please check with our art department for information and pricing.
Foil Colors: gold, silver, copper, black, blue, red, green, orange, brown.
Engraving Plates: $40.00 each up to 35 sq. inches.
Set Up Charges: $35.00 each set up.

Debossing:
Below-the-surface engraving. Camera-ready artwork must be submitted in line art form. If you cannot supply line art, we will convert your artwork. Please check with our art department for information and pricing.
Blind debossing - images are debossed without color.
Combination foil stamp/deboss - images are debossed with in-house foil colors (see above).
Engraving Plates: $40.00 each up to 35 sq. inches.
Set Up Charges: $35.00 each set up.

Silkscreening:
The silkscreening process offers PMS color matches, unlimited imprint size, and ability to imprint heavy solids along with fine details.
PMS Matches: $15.00 each.
Silkscreens: $75.00 each.
Set Up Charges: $35.00 each.

Multi-color silkscreening/debossing:
Artwork must be color separated. Alterations are usually necessary. Please call for information and pricing.
